It's been a little over a month since my first 'State of the Union' blog post, so I figured now would be a good time to write up another one. A lot has been happening this past month, and it's had a major impact on what I'm working on. So, let's dive into this:
The third and fourth drafts of 'End Turn' are complete, and as I type, another individual is giving it a read-through which will culminated with whatever other changes I need to make. At present, there is no update on if Kylie Georgian will be returning as the cover artist for this one. She just started school back up, and this semester includes three, count them, THREE animation classes for her. I wish her all the best, as animation is a dream that she's pursuing, much as authoring is a dream I'm pursuing.
As of right now, I'm still hoping for a February release for 'End Turn'. I don't know how realistic that is, but as of right now, it seems doable. More updates will be posted to Twitter and Facebook regarding 'End Turn' as I get them, so Like and Follow me no those two sites to ensure you're getting the most up-to-date news.
Last 'State of the Union', I mentioned how I was first-drafting my third novel which was tentatively titled, 'Calagray: Creature from the Deep'. 'Calagray' has since gone on hold. I've written a fairly big chunk of it, but unfortunately, it's just not turning out how I'm wanting it to. I decided to keep the story in my mind, and later on, if I feel I'm competent enough as an author to tackle it, I will. This was the second time I tried writing 'Calagray', and I did much better with it this time than what I did the first, but... it still was not what I wanted out of it.
That being said, I have since moved on to what WOULD HAVE BEEN my fourth novel, which is now my third. This novel, which currently is only known as 'Ehud Cohen Book One', is going to be the first in a series. Ehud and John Becmane (The protagonist of 'End Turn') are pretty much going to be my focuses for a good while. I'll be writing both of their series' back-to-back, which should prove to be interesting.
Where the John Becmane novels are going to sort of play out like a spy series (if that spy was one of the guys from 'The Big Bang Theory'), the Ehud Cohen books will be paranormal mysteries, involving everything from ghost and demons to vampires and wiccans. A lot of the 'fighting' that will occur is going to be a battle of wills, not so much a battle of strength, which I think will be a lot of fun to work with. I'm really excited to be starting this series, I think it'll turn out really well.
Also, at present, I am attempting to work on my next article for Christ Church's magazine, The Flame. I'm having a bit of trouble getting this one going, and it's due 8/27, but... if it is God's will, then I'll get it done.
So, that is, more-or-less, where things stand at the moment. The only other thing I would like to make you all aware of (suppose I should advertise this bit on Facebook and Twitter at some point), is that I now have an Instagram account. It's a bit on the barren side right now, but... Hey, we'll get there.
Thank you all so much for your continued support, and I'll see you all next blog post!
