Hey everyone! I'm Hew La France. I was born in Chicago, IL, but have spent most of my life in the St. Louis Area. At present, I am a registrar at a local hospital, but previously held positions at a shipping test lab, a bank, and McDonald's (these experiences will wiggle their way into my writing from time-to-time).
In addition to writing fiction, I also write articles for my church's magazine, The Flame, which can be read here.
To say I've wanted to be a writer my whole life would be to insinuate it was something I'd considered often. As a matter of fact, I hadn't considered publishing a novel until I was already out of high school, and even then it only crossed my mind after my mother proposed the idea to me. I'd written a lot when I was younger, but I'd never considered it as a plausible career path/hobby.
If memory serves, one of the first pieces of fiction I'd ever written was a fan-fiction based around the Lego series 'ThrowBots' (Slizers). It was an epistolary, written as a series of journal entries from a NASA astronaught, and one of the 'ThrowBots' (oh to go back to those simpler times). After that I produced numerous Godzilla Fan Fictions, and did several Transformers Fan Fictions in the form of stop-motion animations (which were horribly juvenile).
And that's about it for me. There isn't too much else to know.
